School Year

The primary school year generally runs from the beginning of September till the end of June. There are breaks for Christmas and Easter and two mid-term breaks usually in late October and mid-February. Secondary schools run a similar schedule but break at the end of May for summer holidays (the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate
