Customer Success Architect
Den Bosch, Netherlands (Hybrid) — Full-time
Schoolyear is the leading SaaS platform for secure digital exams, helping 150+ educational institutions across 10+ countries - including the University of Melbourne, Utrecht University, TU Delft, and McGill University - deliver millions of exams every year. We build and deliver the secure infrastructure for high-stakes digital exams; locking down devices against (AI) cheating while still giving students access to professional software like Excel, SPSS, R, and Python. Security is at the core of everything we do.
We operate with ownership, speed, and directness. We put our customers at the center of everything we build and believe the best product decisions come from people who talk to clients every day.
About The Role & Team
Join us as we help universities worldwide transform how they run secure digital exams. We’re looking for a Customer Success Architect with experience implementing and supporting complex IT solutions at enterprise organizations. You’ll own the technical relationship with our clients across the Benelux, UK, North America, and Australia- from first implementation through long-term adoption and scaling. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong curiosity for “how things work.” You are solution- and execution-oriented, with a dedication for making clients genuinely successful and getting this done.
As a Customer Success Architect, you will:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for our customers, from large School boards to major research universities.
- Become expert on the Schoolyear platform to provide strategic consultation, hands-on guidance on configuration, environment setup, and integration with institutional IT infrastructure.
- Own the full client lifecycle: from kick-off and technical configuration through go-live, scaling across faculties, and ongoing optimization.
- Deliver training and demos to IT teams, functional administrators, and exam coordinators.
- Gather, organize, and translate client insights and field feedback into concrete product improvements, in close collaboration with our product and development team.
- Potential travel to visit clients in the Netherlands and abroad.
You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have:
- Execution and customer service oriented skills, able to effectively prioritize and complete customer deliverables on-time and drive outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Dutch and English), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders ranging from sysadmins to exam coordinators to program directors.
- A problem-solving mentality and positive attitude towards the change that comes with working at a rapidly growing company.
- Prior experience implementing IT or SaaS solutions in the public sector or education.
At a minimum, you need to have:
- At least 5 years of customer-facing technical experience, with a demonstrated record of successfully engaging with enterprise accounts.
- A solid understanding of IT infrastructure: think cloud environments, networking, SSO, and endpoint security. You don't need to code, but you need to hold your own in technical conversations with IT departments.
Who We Are
